Global Policy Innovations is the Carnegie Council’s program for exploring the new ideas
of a globalized and innovative world. Through the online magazine Policy Innovations,
and through live events that bring together business, government, and nonprofit leaders,
GPI tells the stories of people who are working to craft a fairer world and to expand the
circle of social opportunity. GPI builds on the Carnegie Council’s nearly 100 years of

EcoPlum is a green shopping rewards website that provides incentives
and education about sustainable living. Purchases through EcoPlum

or donated to environmental causes. EcoPlum aims to foster environmental
stewardship by educating and helping consumers to make responsible choices.

The New York City Accelerator for a Clean and Renewable Economy
(NYC ACRE) is a part of NYU-Poly. It focuses on helping clean
technology and renewable energy companies in New York City grow,
advancing the City as a role model for environmental sustainability
and smart growth. NYC ACRE is seeded by a four year, $1.6M grant
from the New York State Energy and Research Development Authority
(NYSERDA) to NYU-Poly aimed at growing an ecosystem of entrepreneurs,
international companies, and innovative local businesses that are
providing solutions to climate and energy issues while growing the
cleantech/renewable energy sector and creating jobs in NYC.
The Polytechnic Institute of New York University
(also known as Polytechnic Institute of NYU or NYU-Poly)
is the second oldest private institute of technology in the
United States. It was founded in 1854 in the Borough of Brooklyn
in New York City, and has a distinguished history in electrical
engineering, polymer chemistry, aerospace, and microwave
engineering.

Industrial and Technology Assistance Corporation is a nonprofit consulting and
training organization dedicated to helping NYC manufacturing and technology
companies with programs that increase their top and bottom lines.
ITAC’s purpose is to strengthen the NYC economy by keeping manufacturing and
technology jobs in New York. They are partially funded by NYSTAR
(New York State Foundation for Science, Technology and Innovation) and
NIST (National Institute of Standards and Technology). They serve as
NYSTAR’s designated Regional Technology Development Center for New York City
and are one of nearly 350 NIST Manufacturing Extension Partnership (MEP)
locations across the country.
